The story goes that Peace Quest (with a space) Cape Breton was founded over sixteen years ago in the lead-up to the war on Iraq. They came about roughly ten years before PeaceQuest (without a space) Kingston was founded in the lead up to the WWI centenary. When we stumbled upon PQCB it was clear we had plenty of common ground!
Since becoming aware of each other’s existence, Cape Breton’s Sean Howard has made several contributions to our Policy Blog. He and Lee-Ann Broadhead kept us up to date on the whole “Mother Canada” statue debacle, and other excellent commentary on global events. We worked with them to help bring The World Remembers project to Cape Breton.
Now, “after a mere 16 years in existence”, Peace Quest Cape Breton now has a website of their own and we couldn’t be more thrilled to share it with you today.
All the best to Peace Quest Cape Breton and peace activists everywhere!
